Naoya Inoue Lands 24th Knockout in Win Over Luis Nery

Inoue Retains Undisputed Title in Six-Round Victory

Naoya Inoue, the undisputed junior featherweight champion, defended his title with a sixth-round knockout of Luis Nery in Tokyo on Thursday. Inoue, considered by many to be the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world, was knocked down in the third round but recovered to stop Nery in the sixth.

Inoue's victory extends his record to 24 knockouts in 27 fights. Nery, who had previously never been knocked down, falls to 31-1 with 24 KOs.
