During his gubernatorial campaign, Tim Walz faced accusations from two retired Minnesota National Guard NCOs who claimed he fabricated facts and lied about his military service.
Guard Commander's Response
"As governor of Minnesota, Walz is the commander-in-chief of the 13,000-soldier Minnesota National Guard," said Maj. Gen. Shawn Manke, the adjutant general of the Minnesota National Guard. "I'm certainly proud of my military service, but it's important to remember that I'm part of a team, and our success is a result of the hard work and dedication of every member of the National Guard."
